Trigonelline is a plant alkaloid that is a major component of coffee and fenugreek and has anti-drying, anti-diabetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects. It can inhibit FcεRI-mediated intracellular signaling pathways, such as the phosphorylation of PLCγ1, PI3K and Akt.
