What is Swertimarin

Swertimarin is an iridoid compound isolated from the gentianaceae plant Swertia obliquus. In in vivo experiments on rats, it was found that swertiamarin can reduce liver damage caused by toxic substances, and can also prevent liver damage caused by hypoxia in rats.
